The Difference

Fitness is the ability to do what you want to do well. Trendy fitness icons want to make you sweaty and exhausted, and tell you that's all you need. However, it is important to know what workout you are doing, and why you are doing it.

Since we take a holistic approach to fitness, we talk about how you can improve your day-to-day life, how you can eat better, and how to convert your fitness endeavors into your routine for a better life that lasts.

Sound Familiar?

We work with several different fitness priorities. If you identify with one or more of the following, we’d be very happy to work with you.

Lift Rehab

You're good about hitting the gym and staying active. But are you bench pressing as well as you possibly can to maximize the work on the pectorals? Are you keeping a neutral spine on a deadlift so you don't set yourself up for injury? Are you programming your workouts to maximize your effort toward your fitness goals?

Work with us to analyze your movements in the gym, and identify strong and weak points. We'll critique your lifts to make sure you activate exactly what muscles you want to be hitting, and help you avoid injury.

Functional Fitness

Functionality is a cornerstone of training with Metal Wellness, because fitness is the ability to do what you want to do well.

Functional fitness means working in the gym to strengthen your everyday movements. Lifting something from the floor to a shelf, moving a couch, and pushing something away from you are practical examples of proficiency in core strength and stability, overhead pressing, squatting etc.

If you look big and ripped chasing that pump, that’s great for the mirror, but you need to decide if that is more important than moving yourself and your environment effectively.

Functional training still makes you look impressive 💪😁

Reach a Higher Level

Maybe you’re already in pretty good shape and go to the gym regularly, but sometimes find yourself doing the same laps around the weight machines. Now you’ve found yourself in a rut on a plateau.

Let your trainer be your accountability partner so you can reach and maintain higher levels of strength, muscle mass, and conditioning.

Getting back into it

Has it been too long since you’ve worked out regularly? Have you never worked out? We are here to simplify things and help see through the conflicting information on social media.

Getting on a good track doesn’t have to be daunting. We are happy to work with you to make fitness a part of your regime.

HIIT

High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is a high-level of exercise that conditions your body to burn through fat stores, deliver circulation and oxygen to your cells more effectively, and increase muscle definition.

Did you know that HIIT is meant to be a supplement to your fitness program, and shouldn't be relied on for weeks on end? Or that you are supposed to catch your breath between intervals (with few exceptions)? Did you know that if you haven't worked out in over a few months, HIIT can actually cause injuries?

It's true. If you are just getting into fitness, and you do a HIIT workout, you are putting yourself at GREAT risk because you haven't put a foundation of strength on your movements.

We recommend you get strong with good movements first, and then crank up the intensity with confidence. We LOVE training HIIT, and want to make sure that we do it in the smartest way possible.

Tactical & Occupational

Is your career physically demanding (Lifting, pulling, carrying, etc.)? Do you want to maximize your performance and minimize injury risk? Think knees, shoulders, and lower back.

Inquire within for yourself or your team. We specialize in Tactical Strength and Conditioning.
